At the Californian Association of Taxidermists awards the weekend of April 27-28, the winner of the 2026 Jim Barrango Memorial Best Upland Game Bird Award, which is sponsored by our chapter, was Mr. Ron Anderson, who did this beautiful Ruffled Grouse piece with the snow. His talent was reflected throughout the event as he won a total of 14 awards at the evening program. He has been an inspiration and mentor to many of the members of the association for many years and we thank him for his contributions.
